LEARNER LICENSE

 

Take these with to your appointment:

• ID book/Valid SA Passport  (Non South African Citizens need to apply for a Traffic Register)

• R68

• 2 x ID Photos

• Proof of address - not older than 3 months.  You can use your own bank account statement (if the account is in your name). As long as your name is next to the address on the statement, the Traffic Department will accept it.  It does not matter if the address shown on the statement is not in Stellenbosch or area you are booking your test.

You also have to fill in the the following form should you want to print it out and fill in, in advance - "Application for Learner License" form (Blue Form)

Complete A,B,D - with a black pen

No applications on Fridays

NB You can make an appointment for your learner license at a completely different traffic department to where you want to do your driver license test.  

Stellenbosch' waiting times are extremely long for learner license test appointment,  the best alternative currently is Milnerton which is safe, clean and efficient and which also operate over weekends;- saturdays and sundays.
